Manual Production System
Gutter Wizards Manual Production System
The Manual Production System consists of three individual components: the Slitter/Ribber (pictured on the left with combo spool), a runout table with shear (center) and the Aluminum Brake and Radius Bender (on the right). This system allows one person to make no-clog covers. This system works in the following way:
- Load coil into the combo spool, set the coil and spool into the coil rack, and adjust the tensioner on the spool shaft.
- Load the tail of the coil into the manual slitter/ribber that will slit the coil to the correct width and makes 2 speed bumps during this process as it makes the blank.
- As the material exits the slitter, the blank will go through a guillotine shear onto a 10' run-out table and this ribbed material can be cut off at any desired length up to 10'.
- Set the ribbed blank into an 83° brake that is jigged for the correct width to fit the no-clog radius arm bender and bracket system. Make one 83° bend on each side of the coil for fascia mounted no-clog covers.
- Insert the blank into the radius arm hood machine to make the curved nose of the no-clog cover system.
One person should be able to make thirty 7' or 10' covers in an hour. Each cover is perfectly made every time without requiring special skills from the operator.
